Assistant Prof. Dr. Ibtesam Raheem Karhiy Al-Saedi from the Department of Communications Engineering / University of Technology has participated in  an international workshop tagged (Renewable Energies And Smart Cities In Sustainable Development) with a lecture entitled (Insights from Telecommunication Industrial Practice: Smart Cities and Sustainability) on 11/27/2022. The workshop was held under the auspices of a consultant National Security, in cooperation with the College of Engineering / University of Baghdad, and this workshop was held within the activities of the Fourth International Conference on Geographic Information Systems and Smart Cities.

  

 

 

 

 

On Thursday, November 17th, 2022, held in the Department of Communications Engineering, with the presence of the head of department, Assistant Prof. Dr. Afaneen Anwar.

Discussion of a postgraduate student (Montadhar Taha Abd-Alhussein) for his thesis entitled:

(Study And Investigation of The Compensation Dispersion Techniques for An Optical Filter Bank Multicarrier Transceivers System).

The discussion was attended by a number of lecturers staff and postgraduate students in the department. After a distinguished scientific discussion by the discussion committee, which consisted of the committee Chairman Prof. Dr. Raad Hamdan Zaher from Al-Mustansiriya University, Department of Electronic Engineering and Communications, and the membership of Assistant Prof. Dr. Ashwaq Qasim Hameed from the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Technology and Dr. Qusay Salem Tawfeq, Department of Communication Engineering, University of Technology, in addition to Prof. Dr. Thamer Mohamed Jamil and Dr. Haider Malik Abdel-Hadi, both are as a members and supervisors, the student was granted a master degree with a very good.

 

 

 

 

 

Based on the principle of cooperation between Iraqi universities and the private sector, the Presidency of the Department of Communications Engineering directed on Wednesday November 2nd 2022, a group of faculty staff from the Department, with an official letter, to attend a symposium with (Al-Sarraj Company for Information Technology), and they discussed topics that could serve the university in general and the Communication engineering department in particular, and they was agreed to communicating in the areas that serve the department with the possibility of training the top students, and employing the distinguished among them, and providing study equipment and laboratories.
