Research discusses the performance of photovoltaic matrix configurations

Written by

Research discusses the performance of photovoltaic matrix configurations
Engineer Mohamed Osama Sobhy in the Department of Communications Engineering published research as part of his master's degree requirements and with the title:
PERFORMANCE OF SCREW HORIZONTAL AND BRIDGE LINKAGE PHOTOVOLTAIC ARRAY CONFIGURATIONS
Due to the effects of partial shading on solar panel productivity, which in turn negatively affects the performance characteristics of photovoltaic systems, researchers worked on various studies to overcome this phenomenon and improve solar system productivity. This research aims to study different techniques to enhance the resulting energy and efficiency of the photovoltaic system by reducing the number of peaks in the curve of properties, power restraints, and mismatches. These configurations include horizontal-screw photovoltaic matrix technology and binding bridge technology where both models were designed using Matlab Simulink software and examined during six shading patterns.
According to the results, the composition of the link bridge works more efficiently under partial shading conditions compared to the formation of the helix horizontal photoelectric array

professor in the COE publishes two research papers at international conference

Written by

Professor Thammer Mohammed Jamil in the Department of Communications Engineering published two research papers at the IEEE conference DeSE2023

The first entitled:  Performance Evaluation of SISO-OFDM Channel Equalization Utilizing Deep Learning

 :The research was published in
16th International Conference on Developments in eSystems Engineering (DeSE), Istanbul, Turkiye, 2023
The aim of the research involves the use of the channel formula based on deep learning The primary objective of this research is to assess the performance of the channel equivalent based on deep learning in order to address the shortcomings of the ZF and MMSE equations in terms of modification order and the number of pilots (CP).
Simulation results show that the DL-dependent channel equivalent can outperform the MMSE equivalent when increasing the number of pilots, with or without CP, for both low-frequency and high-frequency selective channel models, respectively. The results also show how deep learning of CNN structures is used in the SISO OFDM system to enhance channel equation.
Finally, numerical evidence showed that deep learning significantly reduced channel equivalent errors compared to traditional methods.

:The second has entitled

Efficient FBMC-OQAM Channel Equalization Through Pruned DFT

and research was published in
16th International Conference on Developments in eSystems Engineering (DeSE), Istanbul, Turkiye, 2023
This work aims to leverage the unique characteristics of FBMC-OQAM and the power of manicured DFT technology - an effective algorithm for DFT account - to improve system performance. Next, enhance the equation performance of the proposed scheme using many sophisticated equation algorithms.
The main findings include:
First: Improve the FBMC-OQAM system by integrating Pruned-DFT technology into its structure.
Second, the range of proposed equation techniques outperforms the traditional single-tab tie tool in highly variable channels over time and in the High Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) system.

This workshop aims to enable teachers of engineering departments in Iraqi universities to apply the characteristics and principles of establishing a reverse class using digital platforms.

Highlights discussed include
Use of technology to benefit from the transfer of lectures outside the classrooms.
Change the in-room learning method, so that students can spend more time interacting with each other under the supervision and guidance of the professor
Design a scenario to prepare a lesson according to the inverse row method using digital platforms,
Identification of relevant technological tools for resource development.

This panel discussion is aimed at the teachers of engineering departments in Iraqi universities who wish to explore and use the reversed approach to teaching.

The expected benefits of this panel discussion include
Better understanding of the principles of the reversed classroom
Acquire practical skills in designing and implementing reversed lessons
Knowledge of technological tools that support reversed education
Ability to improve the quality of teaching and learning in engineering departments
