A training workshop in the Communications Engineering Department
The Department of Communications Engineering held a training workshop entitled “How to Fill Out the Iraqi Quality Standards Form,” delivered by Prof. Dr. Nour Jamal Jihad and lecturer. Nisreen Abdel Wahed, teachers in the Department of Communications Engineering, and in the presence of a number of teachers and laboratory officials in the department.
The workshop aimed to introduce the appropriate steps for filling out the quality form, the procedures that must be achieved, and the conditions that must be met to achieve the quality of laboratories in the department.
Under the supervision of the Head of the Communications Engineering Department, Professor Afanin Anwar Abboud, a panel discussion was held in the department’s green hall entitled
"The effects of electronic addiction on the mental perceptions that cause drug addiction and suicide"
It was delivered by researcher, psychotherapist, human development trainer Amir Abbas Salman, and trainer Imad Ali Hadi
Among the attendees were the Scientific Associate, Prof. Dr. Ali Jabbar Salem, Head of the Optical Communications Branch, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Diaa Hasib, and some of the department’s professors and students. The seminar focused on increasing awareness about the dangers of electronic addiction to mental health and discussing the relationship between electronic addiction and drug addiction. and suicidal thoughts, and touched on providing solutions and plans to prevent and treat electronic addiction.

Under the supervision of the Head of the Communications Engineering Department, Professor Afanin Anwar Abboud, a panel discussion was held in the Green Hall, delivered by Professor Ibtisam Rahima Al-Karikhi, entitled

Among the attendees were the Scientific Associate, Prof. Dr. Ali Jabbar Salem, the Administrative Associate, Prof. Dr. Qusay Salem Tawfiq, and some of the department’s professors and branch heads.
A group of opinions and proposals were discussed about ways to enhance research cooperation, exchange experiences and knowledge, how to benefit from curricula and courses, and exchange opinions about the best ways to enhance cooperation between the two universities.
The Department of Communications Engineering obtained a certificate of excellence from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Agency for obtaining first place among the corresponding departments in public and private universities.
A major Arab academic presence, Dr. Afaneen Anwar Abood, Head of the Department of Communications Engineering, participated in the Arab Universities Union Conference at Baghdad University. Baghdad University witnessed the General Conference of Arab Universities in the presence of a crowd of Arab and Iraqi parliamentary and academic figures and representatives of international organizations and federations.

This workshop aims to enable teachers of engineering departments in Iraqi universities to apply the characteristics and principles of establishing a reverse class using digital platforms.
Highlights discussed include
Use of technology to benefit from the transfer of lectures outside the classrooms.
Change the in-room learning method, so that students can spend more time interacting with each other under the supervision and guidance of the professor
Design a scenario to prepare a lesson according to the inverse row method using digital platforms,
Identification of relevant technological tools for resource development.
This panel discussion is aimed at the teachers of engineering departments in Iraqi universities who wish to explore and use the reversed approach to teaching.
The expected benefits of this panel discussion include
Better understanding of the principles of the reversed classroom

"Women Leaders Challenges and Achievements in Politics"

The Communications Engineering Department of the Technological University organized a workshop entitled "Women Leaders: Political Challenges and Achievements" in the Green Hall. In cooperation with the Women's Empowerment Unit and the Registration and Student Affairs Section. The workshop addressed women's challenges and achievements in politics, and discussed the difficulties women face in gaining access to leadership positions and how to overcome them. Women's successes and achievements in this area have also been addressed. The objective of the workshop was to strengthen the role of women in political leadership and to encourage women's participation in political decision-making
Practical lecture for telecommunications engineering students

Established in cooperation with the Non-Ionizing Radiation Monitoring Division of the Baghdad Environment Directorate and within its periodic control plan on the conformity of telecommunications towers with environmental determinants and requirements, it conducted environmental detection on the Zain Iraq Telecommunications Company's tower at the Technological University.
Participation was also made in the presentation of a practical lecture to fourth grade students in the Department of Communications Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Jamal Mohammed lecturer in the Department of Communications Engineering for the purpose of familiarizing students with the working mechanism of communication towers and the methods of measuring electromagnetic radiation issued by them.
The Department of Communications Engineering hosts a practical workshop for Aswar Company
A practical workshop was held in the Green Hall in the Department of Communications Engineering, sponsored by Aswar Information Technology Company. The workshop was attended by all fourth-year students in the department and some of the teaching professors.
The aim of the workshop was to enrich students about to graduate with valuable information about the labor market, the opportunities available to them after graduation, and the importance of developing and developing their skills in the next stage of their lives.
The Department of Communications Engineering holds a thesis competition in three minutes
The Department of Communications Engineering at the University of Technology held the Three Minute Thesis Competition sponsored by the University of Technology, which includes showcasing the skills of graduate students in the Department of Communications Engineering within three minutes of time, and it was held in the green hall in the department. The discussions were attended by the Scientific Assistant, Prof. Dr. Ali Jabbar Salem, the head of the Wireless Communications Branch, Professor Muhammad Hussein, and members of the department’s faculty represent the evaluation committee. The goal of the competition is to enhance the culture of innovation and creative and scientific skills among students as they compete to reach the second stage of the competition.

Communications engineering ranks first among communications engineering departments in universities

The Department of Communications Engineering obtains first place among the corresponding departments in the national classification of Iraqi universities with a score of 77.9, a difference of 20 degrees from the nearest corresponding department, as the Ministry of Higher Education announced the results of the Iraqi classification of engineering departments in universities. The results of this version, which was completed by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, include the evaluation of (1875) scientific departments in (95) public and private universities and colleges according to program accreditation standards 40%, faculty members 25%, students 20%, and international classifications for academic specializations 15%.

The Communications Engineering Department conducted a training workshop entitled
"Presentation and discussion of results"
Within the Skills Development Program in the Communications Engineering Department. Dr. Husam Hussein Ali in the Department of Communications Engineering with presence of a number of graduate students and lecturers
The aim of the workshop was to familiarize graduate students and researchers with the manner of presenting results and discussing in the stages of research preparation or master's and doctoral thesis etc.
The workshop included how to view and discuss the results and how to design charts and common and different terms in the graphs, tables and words used in the presentation sentences. It also clarified the role of comments, comparisons and explanations with examples of charts, tables and details of each.
A cultural symposium in the Department of Communications Engineering at the University of Technology
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghaban, and under the direct supervision of the Head of the Communications Engineering Department, Dr. Afaneen Anwar Abboud, within the first cultural season of the academic year 2023-2024, and to celebrate Iraqi Legislation Day, the Department of Communications Engineering at the University of Technology held a cultural symposium entitled “Mesopotamia’s contributions to the legislative system,” delivered by Eng. Dr. Iyad Jawad Muhammad, Director of the Government Contracts Division at the University of Technology, discussed the development and emergence of the legislative and legal system in Mesopotamia and the great contributions it made and leadership in the field of legislation during different eras and civilizations. Legislative models and legal texts were shed light on, including the legislation of the Sharia of Urnmu, the Code of Hammurabi, and other contributions of the civilizations of Mesopotamia. The symposium was attended by the Head of the Communications Engineering Department, Dr. Afaneen Anwar Abboud, assistants, branch heads, university teachers and employees. The session was moderated by M. Dr. Hossam Hussein Ali, head of the scientific division and cultural relations in the department. At the conclusion of the symposium, Eng. Dr. Iyad Jawad Muhammad and the legal advisor, Israa Abdel Hassan, were presented by the Head of the Communications Engineering Department
